CP autosport GmbH with successful groundbreaking ceremony to kick off construction of the new headquarters
Bueren, November 26, 2014 - The symbolic foundation has been laid: Thomas Casey and Matthias Popp, Presidents of CP autosport GmbH, jointly announced the kickoff of the construction of the new headquarters with Bueren Mayor Burkhard Schwuchow during the groundbreaking ceremony. Over the next twelve months, the innovative supplier for the automotive and motorsport industry will invest around ten million euros in the new location.
"This simply is the logical development of the business that we have run for over 20 years." With this statement, Thomas Casey summarized the rapid development, which made the strategically important step towards the own location possible, for the present guests: With 176 employees, the specialist for intelligent lightweight construction and metalworking has developed to one of the largest employers and training providers in the region. With high-performance components and complete solutions CP autosport supplies customers such as Audi, BMW, Porsche and Volkswagen. "This development takes place, also in view of the continuous growth planned for the next years," Matthias Popp added.
Project manager Hans-Joachim Pillich introduced the flexible construction concept, which will offer not only a training workshop but also sufficient room for future expansion: "In the first step, an ultra-modern production facility with an in-front administration area will be constructed." However, later expansion for the realization of future growth potential is easily realizable on the 24,000 square meter area. In the view of Thomas Casey, particularly the direct connections from the highways and the Airport Paderborn-Lippstadt as well as the excellent staff situation are good arguments for the location in the industrial area: "We expect significant synergies now that we bring together everything at one point and that we can develop and produce in a new building," says the President The Soest-based construction company Lehde conducts the construction; Project manager Pillich expects the completion for the third quarter of 2015, the commissioning is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2015.
State Secretary Karl-Uwe Bütof was impressed by the development of the company. The representative of the NRW Ministry of Economic Affairs, expressly travelled to the groundbreaking ceremony from Düsseldorf, said: "Today's start of construction is a very excellent signal for the region and beyond! With the notable development in recent years, CP autosport has set itself up innovatively and has become a real driver."
Following, Bueren Mayor Burkhard Schwuchow resumed "the not always simple" two and a half years of planning phase: "I am delighted that the city has managed to keep this company with its impressive development at the site Buren." Not at least due to the CP autosport GmbH, the business park at Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport has "successfully been awakened" said Schwuchow. Among other factors, this has increased the number of social insurance jobs in Buren from 5,500 to 6,000 during the last 5 years.
Jürgen Behlke, Managing Director of the Paderborn section of the Chamber of Commerce East Westphalia, Bielefeld, particularly praised the above-average training rate of the company in the amount of ten percent, "CP autosport offers many young people a perspective, making it a showcase company for securing the future!"
For 2014, CP autosport GmbH expects a turnover of 25 million euros. The company also has a branch at the Bilster Berg Drive Resort: There, CP autosport is present as a technical partner. Concerning the current situation and future strategy, Thomas Casey said: "We are in a very good economic development with a high order volume and we plan with a sustainable annual growth for the coming years." The company is also striving for new markets and business areas, "Our products and services are now also valued outside Europe, for example, in Asia and the US," said Casey, adding: "In the future, also own products complement the range of services in addition to our core business - we develop more and more from a pure service provider to a provider of technologically advanced solutions."
